Bethesda Performs Digital Mammography and Ultrasound

Bethesda, located at 6430 Rockledge Drive, Suite 100, now performs digital mammography and 4-D ultrasound!
The Hologic digital mammography machine has the tungsten tube, which provides up to 30% less radiation to the patient. The computerized images utilize computer-aided detection (CAD), an enhancement that can detect troublesome areas to assist the radiologist when reading the mammogram. Digital mammography may also reduce the need for additional images and exposure to radiation.
4-D ultrasound is another exciting addition to ARS in Bethesda. We can offer the expectant mom a 4-D picture of her baby as part of the exam free of charge. Routine ultrasound procedures can also be performed, including some vascular procedures.
It is an exciting time for the staff in Bethesda. With these additional modalities, patients are able to have all their imaging needs taken care in one office on the same day. We offer walk-in availability for MRI, CT, and x-ray, and we can now include digital mammography and 4-D ultrasound.
