American Radiology Services Sponsors A Woman's Journey

By: Debbie Passan, Marketing Project Coordinator

On November 14, 2009 American Radiology Services proudly sponsored Johns Hopkins' annual women's health conference, A Woman's Journey. The conference, which is held at the Hilton in Baltimore, featured 32 seminars centered on health-related issues facing women today. These seminars included "Exercise to Stay Healthy," "Preventing Cancer: You Are What You Eat," "Preserving Your Memory," and "Coping with Stress." The sessions were taught by Johns Hopkins physicians.

This year, over 1,100 women from across the country attended A Woman's Journey. Representatives from American Radiology Services spoke with the attendees regarding ultrasound, bone density (DEXA) scans, and the benefits of digital mammography. In addition, they discussed the importance of self breast exams and handed out instructional cards that inform women how to perform the exam.

American Radiology Services remains committed to promoting women's health. We offer designated women's suites at our Annapolis, Green Spring, Owings Mills, and Timonium Crossing imaging centers.
